The STATE

Governor Cuomo and Commissioner Kenneth Adams (former head of the Brooklyn Chamber) are promoting the following resources:

  1. Division for Small Business, basic groundwork including the policies of -
  2. Division of Minority and Women-Owned Business Development (MWBE) firms and..
  3. International Division companies that may have an interest in your business

New programs are the:

  1. Small Business Revolving Loan Fund
  2. Excelsior Jobs Program
  3. New Market Tax Credits Program

The CITY

Bedford-Stuyvesant Improvement Coalition

  • Grants up to $3,000 to support the cost of improving storefront facades;
  • Matching funds up to $10,000 to support mixed use building façade upgrades;
  • Matching funds up to $50,000 to support interior renovations of residential units in mixed use buildings; and
  • Low interest business loans up to $35,000 for working capital and up to $50,000 for fixed assets
  • Access to comprehensive technical assistance and business planning at no cost
  • Delivery of security, sidewalk sanitation and maintenance, marketing and beautification within the boundaries of the FAB Alliance Business Improvement District and the Bed-Stuy Gateway Business Improvement District
